Yazmin Ramirez-Ek Youth Scholarship
Yazmin Ramirez-Ek began playing soccer with EYSC and was registered to play her 8th grade year, when her family was involved in a tragic car accident in August 2022. Yazmin and her mother were killed as a result of this accident.
Because of her spirit and dedication to soccer, the EYSC renamed our youth scholarship program in her name to honor her legacy.
Yazmin's last coach with EYSC said she had a glorious, ever-present smile. She was quiet but was always with her group of friends, but could move seamlessly between different social groups, being accepted by just about everyone. Yazmin could be silly and serious; strong but not a brute. Yazmin was beautiful but not in a frail way. She was as unique and beautiful as her name, and was a joy to coach and teach.
All monies donated during the registration process is made to the Yazmin Ramirez-Ek Youth Scholarship fund. These funds are used to help youth in the Estacada community have the ability to play soccer, even if they financially cannot.
